CAPI is a 100 percent state-funded program designed to provide monthly cash benefits to aged, blind, and disabled non-citizens who are ineligible for Supplemental Security Income/State Supplementary Payment (SSI/SSP) solely due to their immigration status.
SSI provides monthly payments to people with disabilities and older adults who have little or no income or resources.
The In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) program provides in-home assistance to eligible aged, blind, and disabled individuals as an alternative to out-of-home care and enables recipients to remain safely in their own homes. Who is it For:
Eligibility criteria for all IHSS applicants and recipients:
You must also be a California resident.
You must have a Medi-Cal eligibility determination.
You must live at home or an abode of your own choosing (acute care hospital, long-term care facilities, and licensed community) care facilities are not considered "own home".
